WHAT’S ON WEEKLY @ DERIAN HOUSE (Tuesday 29th August – Monday 4th September)

TUESDAY 29th

  • We’ll be welcoming back our families for the final Family Day Care this summer! They’ll be enjoying a forest-themed day of activities throughout the day.

 

  • Sand art fun with Arron (Wellbeing & Play Worker) will take place in the Messy PlayZone this afternoon.

WEDNESDAY 30th

  • Music teacher Rachel will be in the Snug from 11:00am to entertain us all with an hour of sing-along fun.

 

  • Denise (Complementary Therapist) will be delivering tailored massages and reflexology to our in-house children and young people this morning.

 

  • Get your shoes on, we’re off on a walk to Astley Park after lunch to feed the ducks!

THURSDAY 31st

  • The weekly Care Team Huddle will be held in the Care Team Office from 9:30am. Someone from each team is encouraged to pop along and give an update.

 

  • Our School’s Out lads will be back at the hospice for their final session of the summer. School’s In next week, boys!

 

  • In-house children and young people will be enjoying a splash in the hydrotherapy pool this morning.

 

  • Join us for an afternoon of arts and crafts fun in the Messy PlayZone.

FRIDAY 1st

  • Say hello to our new Director of Clinical Services, Catherine Randall, who will start at the hospice today.

 

  • It’s almost time for the Great British Bake Off! To celebrate, we’ll be baking in Danni’s Diner this morning.

 

  • Music and Movement with Claire (Wellbeing & Play Worker) will be held in the House Lounge this morning.

SATURDAY 2nd  

  • We’ll be ball painting in the Messy PlayZone this morning.

SUNDAY 3rd  

  • Let’s get gardening! Our children and young people will be potting plants in the Greenhouse today.

 

  • A sensory TAC PAC session will take place in the Sensory Room this afternoon.

MONDAY 4th

  • We’re off out on a whole hospice trip to Brockholes for our full team away day. For anyone wanting a place on the Derian minibus – leaving at 8am – please email Kim (Head of People and Culture).

 

  • Clinical Support Worker Joanne Fletcher will be joining our team today.
