WHAT’S ON WEEKLY @ DERIAN HOUSE – Monday 10th June – Sunday 16th June

MONDAY 10th

  • Say hello to our new starter Ionie Calderbank, who joins us today in the exciting new role of Child & Family Advocate & Engagement Worker.

 

  • The hospice will be closed for planned overnight respite until Thursday 13th June, when it will resume as normal. Please note that the hospice won’t be unlocked until 7:30am on these days.

 

TUESDAY 11th

  • Derian Playgroup will be held in the Seaside Room this morning, where our babies and toddlers will be enjoying a morning of music, messy play and fun from 10:00am – 11:30am.

 

  • Our Lodgers will be celebrating Pride Month with an abundance of activities at today’s Day Care session, with bingo, rock painting, and rainbow baking on the agenda!

 

THURSDAY 13th 

  • We’ll be continuing our Pride Month celebrations with arts and crafts in the Messy PlayZone throughout the day. Join us as we create our very own jewellery and rainbow jars.

FRIDAY 14th

  • It’s the inaugural Derian House PRIDE today, so we’re celebrating with a colourful dress-up day. If you’re working directly with our CYP, please adhere to IPC policies when choosing your rainbow outfit.

 

  • We’ll be in Danni’s Diner cooking up some tasty rainbow pizzas this afternoon.

 

  • Siblings group Chill Out & Chat will be meeting in the Seaside Room this evening for their monthly session.

 

SATURDAY 15th

  • Happy Birthday King Charles – we’ll be celebrating the occasion with arty fun in the Messy PlayZone.

 

  • Our children and young people will be enjoying fun and splashes in the hydrotherapy pool this afternoon.

 

  • Danni’s Club – for our younger siblings – will meet in the Seaside Room this afternoon.

SUNDAY 16th  

  • Happy Father’s Day to all of our Derian Dads – we’ll be busy making cards and gifts in the Messy PlayZone this morning.

 

  • What will we find on our Scavenger Hunt in the hospice grounds? Join Caroline (Wellbeing & Play Worker) for an interactive sensory story this afternoon.
