COVID-19 Update
Dear Derian House Colleagues,
In light of the government announcements last night the senior team are assessing the information currently available.
CARE
–
As guidance has not changed for care settings we will continue all Hospice operations as normal, if you have any questions then please ask Lynn, Dawn, Rosie or Clare.
We will be reviewing visitor access to the inside of the House, Lodge and Vinten Place, where a visit is deemed non-essential we will postpone these until a later date. Professional visits will still continue with strict access controls at reception, mandatory lateral flows and Hands/Face/Space rules apply as normal.
NON-CLINICAL
The senior team will assess our plans in preparation for the Monday implementation of the new rules and a further message will be sent to everyone tomorrow. These plans will include working from home, room occupancy reviews, assessing the risks around Trees of Love and any other activity.
RETAIL/VANS/WAREHOUSE
Operations will continue as normal with enhanced caution in areas such as PPE and Hands/Face/Space rules.
TRAINING = MENTAL HEALTH AND CULTURE AND VALUES SESSIONS
We have made the decision to cancel these as they were planned with blended teams from inside and outside the building, we will reschedule for the New Year.
As I stated, a full briefing will be issued tomorrow, if you have any specific concerns or questions then please speak to any member of the SMT or your Line Manager, they may not have the immediate answer but they can find out for you.
FINALLY – Your wellbeing is our top priority, if you are struggling with the issues surrounding COVID and need to speak to someone then please remember you have access to free counselling through our SAGE Benefits scheme, details are on the Intranet. We, of course, also have the work related counselling, please see your line manager if you need referring.
Thank you and more information will come tomorrow.
