SUNDAY 12th 

• Supercar Showtime, the exclusive event that showcases the UK’s greatest supercars, will take place today at Hoghton Tower in aid of Derian House. The supercar spectacle promises 150 examples of classic supercars of yesteryear through to modern day hypercars, and our Fundraising Team will be there to support our Community Ambassadors Nick and Karen Isherwood at the event.

MONDAY 13^th

• Our children and young people will be preparing for Father’s Day with gift and card making in the Messy PlayZone throughout the day.
• Sensory Story Time will take place in the Seaside Room from 1:30 – 3:00pm for Derian families.

TUESDAY 14^th

• Individual sessions of Music Therapy will take place in the Snug from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.

 

• Health and Safety/Senior Management Team meeting will take place this morning in the Conference Room.

 

• There’ll be an information session about Music and Movement for anyone to attend in Clinical Education from 2:30pm.

WEDNESDAY 15^th

• Join our music teacher Rachel Toner in from 11am for a sing-a-long in The Snug.

• The Derian Voices will be meeting in the Seaside Room from 12:00 – 1:00pm. You’re very welcome to attend, no matter your singing ability!

 

• David is hosting other CEOs from the GM Hospices Group at Derian House from 12:00 – 2:00pm.

 

• Children’s Hospice Week is fast approaching, and a children’s nurse from down South, Francesca Lennon, is cycling to each of the 54 children’s hospices this summer. To honour her incredible challenge, staff, volunteers, ambassadors and fundraisers will be visiting us today, tomorrow and Friday to cycle for a minute on a watt bike outside of Reception – we’re hoping to rack up 54 minutes with 54 different people and make a video to launch #CHW on Monday. • A small group from Natwest are coming for the day to volunteer in our gardens.

THURSDAY 16^th

• Our Pets as Therapy dog, Shuna, will be arriving at Derian with her human Linda for their weekly visit.

 

• GDPR/Data Protection training is taking place on site.

FRIDAY 17^th

• Some of our young people will be joining us for +18s Friday Night Club in the Lodge from 6:30 – 9:00pm.

SATURDAY 18^th  

• It’s National Picnic Day! Our Lodgers will be out on a trip to celebrate.

 

• Our monthly bereavement drop-in will be held in the Seaside Room from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

SUNDAY 19^th

• Happy Father’s Day to all of our Derian Dads! Our youngsters will be making cards in the Messy PlayZone today.
