WHAT’S ON WEEKLY @ DERIAN HOUSE (Monday 8th January – Sunday 14th January)

MONDAY 8th

  • We’re kicking the week off with messy tactile sensory play in the Messy PlayZone this morning.

 

  • It’s cinema time – what would you like to watch in Derian at the Movies today?

 

TUESDAY 9th

  • We got lots of brand new board games for Christmas, so we’ll be testing them out in the Messy PlayZone this morning.

 

  • Derian Playgroup for our babies and toddlers will take place in the Seaside Room from 10:00am – 11:30pm.

 

  • Are you listening carefully? Heads down for Sounds Bingo in the House Lounge this afternoon.
  • Individual and group sessions of music therapy with Martha will be held in the Snug from 2:00pm.

WEDNESDAY 10th

  • Let’s bake some ‘New Year’ themed biscuits in Danni’s Diner this morning.

 

  • Rachel (Music Teacher) will host her hourly session of singing in the Snug from 11:00am – 12:00pm.
  • You’ll find us in the Hydrotherapy Pool this afternoon, making plenty of splashes and having lots of fun.

THURSDAY 11th

  • A sensory tactile and messy play session will take place in the Messy PlayZone this morning.

 

  • Our volunteers from across the North West will be collecting over 200 Christmas trees as part of our annual ‘Treecycle’ both today and tomorrow, which has already brought in over £3,000 so far.

 

  • It’s time for winter sports this afternoon – join us for competitive curling and Boccia fun.

 

  • The weekly Thursday huddle will be taking place in the Care Team office from 9:30am today. A member of staff from each team is encouraged to pop along and give a brief overview of what your teams are up to.

 

  • Our Sibling Social will be meeting in the Seaside Room from 7:00pm – 9:00pm this evening.

 

FRIDAY 12th  

  • It’s time for the great Derian treasure hunt – solve the clues to find the hidden treasure in our beautiful hospice grounds.

 

  • Let’s get our bodies moving – it’s music and movement with Claire (Wellbeing & Play Worker) in the Sensory Room this afternoon.

 

SATURDAY 13th

  • B-I-N-G-O! Who’ll get a full house in today’s Prize Bingo with Katie (Wellbeing & Play Team Leader)?

 

SUNDAY 14th

 

  • Yummy, yummy, yummy – we’ve got cake in our tummy! We’ll be making some tasty treats to take home in Danni’s Diner this morning.

 

  • Caroline (Wellbeing & Play Worker) will facilitate a session of Sensory Story Time in the House Lounge this afternoon.
