SATURDAY 25^th

• Danni’s Club, for our younger siblings, will be meeting in the Seaside Room from 1:30 – 4:00pm.

 

• Our Fundraising Team will be out in full force at the Morecambe Bay Walk, our annual fundraiser that sees supporters trek eight miles from the picturesque village of Arnside to Grange-over-Sands to raise vital funds for Derian House. Good luck to everyone taking part, including Karen from the Blackburn shop, Mel Yates, Mick, Sarah, Kerry and volunteer Eileen!

 

• We’re going on a treasure hunt around the hospice this morning with our children and young people – what will we find?

 

• Our Pets as Therapy dog Tallulah will be visiting us with her human, Clare, this afternoon.

SUNDAY 26^th

• 3, 2, 1… jump! Our huge summer fundraiser Dive for Derian kicks off today at Black Knights Parachute Centre. Over 30 daredevils will take to the skies and jump 15,000 out of a plane to raise money for us. Good luck to our very own Karen Birch, Danielle Lund and Cam, who will all be diving!

MONDAY 27^th

• Sensory Story Time will take place in the Seaside Room from 1:30 – 3:00pm for Derian families.

 

• Keeping in Touch sessions will continue today with David (CEO). Catch a session in the Seaside Room at 11:00am or 11:30am. Please email jacquie.hartley@derianhouse.co.uk for more information.

TUESDAY 28^th 

• Weekly playgroup for our Derian toddlers and babies will take place in the Seaside Room from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

 

• Two more Keeping in Touch sessions will be held in the Conference Room today at 11:00am and 11:30am.

 

• 2-4 of our youngsters will be visiting for Lodge Day Care.

 

• Individual sessions of Music Therapy will take place in the Snug from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.

WEDNESDAY 29^th

• Join our music teacher Rachel Toner in from 11am for a sing-a-long in The Snug.

 

• The Derian Voices will be meeting in the Seaside Room from 12:00 – 1:00pm. You’re very welcome to attend, no matter your singing ability!

 

• David (CEO), Lynn (Director of Clinical Services) and Helen Fogg (Family Support Team Leader) are visiting Reuben’s Retreat in Glossop.

 

• Happy International Mud Day to those who celebrate – maybe just Gareth?! Our in-house kids will be taking part in Greenhouse fun this morning.

THURSDAY 30^th

• Our Pets as Therapy dog, Shuna, will be arriving at Derian with her human Linda for their weekly visit.

 

• The Trustees Board Meeting will be held in the Conference Room this evening.

FRIDAY 1^st

• Happy Canada Day, y’all! Themed arts and crafts will be taking place in the Messy PlayZone this morning.

SATURDAY 2^nd

• Our Derian Dads will be visiting us in the Seaside Room/Smile Park for a Stay & Play Session from 1:00pm.

SUNDAY 3^rd

• Join us in Smile Park for painting fun outdoors with all of our in-house children and young people.

• Tickets for our Open Gardens event on July 24^th are selling fast! This summer’s event is festival themed, with live music on our Smile Stage and Seaside Stage from an abundance of local performers, including our Patron Kiki DeVille, music teacher Rachel Toner, and sibling Jacob Reddy.
