Access to the Derian House external counselling service is available to all Derian House employees.
Within a one to one session, a line manager may escalate an employee to a one-hour session of external counselling. The escalation is for any work related distressing or concerning issues where a line manager feels an individual’s health and wellbeing would benefit from the service.
The responsibility to book a session is with the line manager and in work related instances, no other parties will be involved. If an individual would like to access the counselling service for personal matters, there is a self-funding option and payment will be processed directly within payroll by HR. HR will not be able to see the content of any discussions, this is between the supervisor and supervisee only.
